An attempt more deliberate than coincidental, this would have been a Trump’less week for me.
Oh does he always give us something to talk about or not!
According to the 2018 exit polls, roughly 1 in 4 voters were of the opinion that immigration was the most important issue facing the country. 75% of this group voted for the Republicans in the House while 23% voted for the Democrats.
Needless to say, Trump’s political ploy worked so well for him.
“If you don’t want America to be overrun by masses of illegal aliens and giant caravans, you’d better vote Republican,” he told a crowd during one of his rallies.
There was NEVER any evidence that what Trump was saying about the caravan was true.
Even the Bible says that “Fear has torments”. Indeed, it was a determining factor in the recently conducted US midterm elections.
Anyone who listened to Trump’s rhetoric about the migrant caravan or read any of his tweets would have thought that these group of people were on the verge of crossing into the United States, intent on destroying everything on its path.
12 days and counting, and there has not been any word said by Trump about these ‘invaders’.
Could it be that these group of people who were such a threat to the country in October, so much that Trump dispatched troops to the border to tackle them, are now all of a sudden less of a threat?
As a matter of fact, they are closer to the border than they were during the midterm elections.
