False-consensus bias in psychology is the tendency of people to overestimate the level to which other people share their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.
Who the hell are all these shallow-minded people who watch ZeeWorld? Why would anyone like Donald Trump? Why can’t she party like a normal human being?
Someone responds with an opinion and you go “are you one of those people”, which I think is another way of saying “you should be on my side, why aren’t you?”
When you say things that mock the opinion of the next person, it doesn’t make you more informed than they are.
We are different, with varying opinions and views. And you know what baby? Your views are valid.
‘Different’ is super cool.
