MICROSOFT STRIVES TO STAY RELEVANT

Microsoft at an event on Tuesday announced that it has started to roll out the next big update to Windows 10. This update has one big feature: An App, known as ‘Your Phone’. It lets you read your iPhone/Android phone’s text messages and photos from your Windows 10 PC. One amazing thing about this App is that it works over WiFi, so you do not need to have your phone plugged into your computer to read messages or share photos.

Google tried to close this particular gap when they introduced an Android messages app for the web browser. However, what Microsoft is offering Android and iPhone users is something built right into the operating system. This way, you can click and drag photos straight from your phone into an editing or social media app.
Microsoft has recognized that without a viable phone platform of its own, it needs to integrate tightly with other OS to stay relevant.
